Okay, a brief account of what i did in the army is that i am in a platoon of 50 people and the guy sleeping on my right is my buddy who was from CJC and is a former NCC lieutant. My old pal Nick from HPPS is on my left. Life in BMTC is fun when the Sergeants are not pissed.
The Medics there really cant inject for nuts. My arms still hurts and its been two days! Injured it worse after gym yesterday. Reunion dinner was nice but i missed the paternal one due to confinment in camp. Makes me unhappy.

Oh yeah! Got new glasses for my term in the armed forces. Was hoping to get into the Anti-Terror Force but i guess that would mean being a commando which would totally freak my folks and get me transferred in to the Guards Unit.
Watching Bowling For Columbine which is a movie about guns in the USA by Michael Moore. Yeah I love that guy! It is a tribute to those would helped to end the Columbine Shooting. Interesting fact you can buy a gun in an American bank if you get a certain type of account. A gun in a bank!!!!!! Oh my God! You can deposit money and rob the bank in the same trip!

An interesting thought came to me: what if all the killer diseases in the world now were sent by GOD to cure us of our sins or bad habits? It all started from a thought of those dying of cancer. I remembered my old grumpy (but kind) science teacher telling us that researchers should spend less time on finding a cure for AIDS and work on one for cancer. Then my classmate Rohai or something said 'but think of the children'. Then she said something like: ' AIDS is a disease sent by GOD to killing those who have sex casually!'
That was like sec 2 so i guess my mind never allowed me to forget it. Well, if AIDS is GOD's way of saying: no casual sex then SARS is GOD's way of forcing us to have good personal hygiene. So now who says GOD is not around.
Lets see, what else diseases are there? Cancer, leukemia, hepatitis, dengue fever, malaria and ebola. Well thats all i will do today.
Cancer is the divine punishment for polluting the enviroment and playing with chemicals. (Think asbestos to lung cancer and CFCs to skin cancer)
Leukemia is what GOD will give to you if you insist on playing with radioactive stuff and not washing their hands.
Dengue fever and malaria are GOD's way of teaching us to stop keeping still water when we want to 'advance'.
Ebola is how the Almighty Lord tells you to stop eating apes and monkeys. (in fact leave them alone!)
It seems to me that we were never meant to advance this far and mess with GOD's stuff. AIDS and Ebola evolved from our experiments, SARS might be too. Cancer and leukemia come from messing with stuff that we would not get into if we were still living in caves. Dengue and malaria is due to our lack of ablity to truly copy GOD so we get such diseases due to stilled water.
GOD is jealous but not at us because we are not half as good as he is. He is jealous of the power the false leaders of the world have over his people. Jealous of our scientific breakthroughs that make us disbelieve in him. So thats why we have to keep getting sick and die. GOD's true punishment will come from a plague that strikes faster than we can react. The Three Horsemen of Prophecy shall come and scythe us without us even noticing. The war has started, the diseases are starting to be more killer, the pests are becoming even more resistant to our weapons of mass destruction. We wont survive a nuclear war but the rats and cockroaches will and they will evolve to inherit the world.
GOD has abandoned us to our own mistakes. The more we dig into the secrets of GOD, the deeper the hole we will have to climb out of when we realise our mistakes.
Well I believe that we should stop advancing and think of ways to save ourselves from destruction. If not our descendants will suffer the fate that rats and cockroaches suffer now at our hands.
GOD helps the weak not the strong so we must help the weak to become strong. It is from others and our own weaknesses can we become stronger than we are now. No number of weapons can make you strong enough to defeat GOD or even his will.
I rant but only time and God can tell if I am right or wrong.

The past few days have been like way cool. Watched Lord of The Rings with my folks. ( The first two). Went to buy new books and went on exercise binge. Lost like 2 kilograms of fat.
Man, Michael Moore is so Nationalistic but at least he is funny. Well, someone has to give the people the facts if not what is gonna stop le United States Of Amerika from turning the world into ze United Nations of Amerikan? Well Bush-boy has not caught Osama or Omar. It is rumored that Omar is in Nigeria. So much for American Intelligence. Which is an oxymoron casue after electing Bushy-Baby into the White House they have shown their lack of intellect. Which idiot chooses a simpleton to the most powerful office in the world. What if he said "wonder what this button does?" in the Oval Office and turns St. Petersburg into a wasteland? Then we will have World War 3 (or 4 if you consider the Cold War as WW3).
Well, at least Lee Hsien Loong is capable despite all the under-the-table help he got to become Brigadier General and Deputy Prime Minister. He probably could run the USA better the Georgie Bushie. Lee Kuan Yew would never overtly pull the strings of NUS or NJC to get his children in. They got in through their merit but of course their helicopter promotions and selection for scholarship is more suspect. At least, we are sure that Hsien Loong and Hsien Yang are actually qualified for their present jobs and not given the jobs by their parents. Look at Bush, he got into Yale thru what we call connection appeal. Look at DPM, he became BG and DPM because he was perhaps the most capable person in the SAF and PAP of his generation. In fact, it was generally agreed that he would succeed in anything he wanted to pursue. The PAP had to force him to leave the army so there would be three generations of capable leaders for the present and future. His kids are not getting into any trouble, in fact no one knows who or where they are. He has an albino kid but no one cares because the name Lee isnt fodder for a dynasty but a common name. The Lee poltical dynasty, as some Western academics calll it, will come to an end but not due to overthrow but due to their inablity to meet the criteria for admission into the PAP. They are equal to us unlike the Kennedys and Bushes.

Today was like the best day of my life. Morning slacked away and did some exercise. Jogged around, fixed my computer game soccer team and finished reading the hobbit.
Afternoon, had lunch and slept. Woke up and went to bank to get my account done. Took a bus to school. The fourth time in five days. Its weird that after you leave a place you will always want to come back a visit when you have the excuse to do so.
I digress. Went to school and met my team, went to toa payoh to train. Went there met the new J1s. I cant believe that true talent sometimes come in nice packages. Take Dominque for example, natural leader, nice personality, great athlete. Well i got whacked by her like ten plus times for lame jokes. Swam ten laps and then became Mr Facil and help my juniors to get the J1s to know each other. Man i am getting better and guess arguing with Alex is a good way to learn how to be a good communicator. Learnt a lot.
Ended up spending the whole night with the team talking. Man, i wish i could be in their year. The team was great and the chicks are like wow!
Went home with MArk and Yahui. Quite nice almost finished reading the investment book. Well gota sleep now so nitez all!
