The Week.

This week started slow, with just golf and trainings. Read a lot, slept a lot and learnt a lot. God has given me a lot of questions, tests and no solutions. Its up to me to find the answers to these questions. Many of these questions have no practical application but their answers will help me to know more about God and myself. (I hope.... :P)

From Friday, the tempo was quicken by many notches. Friday started with a frantic rush through NTUC to get the remaining foodstuffs for the picnic. Then me and Crystal rushed from Clementi to Bedok to meet the rest to go to East Coast Park.

At East Coast, we warmed up with some volleyball practice and some fun ball games. Bizaarely, the police drove by and told us to watch our possessions.

After that, we left our excess baggage with the friendly bicycle shop uncle, then went on a 20km cycling adventure to..... Changi. I stayed behind to look after Min Chen as she was still quite new to cycling. After the cycling, my muscles really ached. 3 hours on a bicycle is not exactly comfortable....

Our next activity was a picnic. The food was great: Valerie/Eunice's pasta was fantastic. Jonathan's kaya was great! His story of the kaya dragon was funny! The drinks were good but most importantly, the time spent was priceless!

After having our fill, we sat around singing songs and taking pictures. After that we walked to the bus stop and went our separate ways. Somehow, I felt I should get to know my og mates better since I was AWOL from orientation till the camp. So I went with eunice and Val to Parkway to explore. I have never been to Parkway before so it was a new and cool experience.

Wandered around the Parkway looking at stuff and just got to know them better. Went home with Eunice since we lived near each other. Talked a lot about her life and my interesting experiences. Found out a bit about her experiences with God. Shared a bit.

Saturday woke up with a uber bad sore throat. Despite that, I went for unit at Qiao Ping's place. Had a good time learning about apologetics and fellowship. Jesus indeed died and rose again. If you have trouble believing that, come and discuss with me. :) My next stop was to Costa Sands Beach Chalets on Sentosa. Practically ran from Harbourfront to the place, put my stuff down and then changed my shirt, wrote Simin's birthday card and finally went down to join the rest for BBQ.

The bbq was quite okay. Had lots of fun cooking, joking and eating. We then celebrated Simin's birthday by presenting her with a cake and singing birthday songs. The night semi-ended with half the revellers going home and the other half adjourning to the small chalet room to rest. Sin Yan and Wei Sin went out to prepare Simin's surprise, while Juan Meng, Shawn and JK were downstairs getting drunk. I was happily freezing in the room. The surprise was a success and the drunks came back to sleep. The night was needless to say funny with the antics of JK the highlight.

Sunday was anti-climatic but I had lots of rest.
