How often do we think back on the times when we had fun and wished that they would return or never ended?

I would be a liar to say I didnt think those thoughts this week. Nevertheless, I realised that all good things will come to an end. Just like all bad things.

Many people in the world wonder whether the current conflicts in the Middle East, between the Western powers and the Islamic fundamentalists or in the Pacific will ever end. The answer is yes. Sooner or later, something will push all parties to resolution. During the Japanese Occupation, many believed that Syonan-to was here to stay. We know it lasted 3 years and 8 months. About how long the average NUS student takes to get his/her degree with honours.

The irony of this conparison is that studying can be as painful as living in Syonan-to. Ask your grandparents or parents if you dun think so. Subsisting on meagre rations while finding a way to avoid the common pitfalls.

It sometimes is tempting to curry favour with the Profs like the way the inhabitants of Syonan did with the Japanese.

Therefore, if you think Uni life sucks, look no further than the example of Syonan for inspiration!!
