ZOO, RESIGNATION AND WORLD CUP

Mood: Bullish
Music: Scum by Maia Lee

Yesterday, I went to the Singapore Zoological Gardens or Zoo. (Why call it a Zoological Gardens? Is it because it is logically a garden?). A bit of a waste of a good 15 bucks. Not because i didnt like to go but because I felt it was the wrong time to go. Mainly because it was raining and because there was renovation in all over.

It rained heavily as soon as i came out of the toilet to start my zoo adventure. That was a dual demoraliser. Firstly, rain itself is very irritating to walk in, you feel wet, uncomfortable and cold. Secondly, the animals tend to hide in their enclosures when it rains so you cant see them.

The lucky thing was the first 2 exhibits were rainforest and amphibious exhibits. The treetop trail and otter exhibits were the first exhibits that me and my entourage visited. I caught sight of a greater mousedeer and a false gharial (which wan ting said was fake!!!!). They loooked so cool!!!!

The otter was skittish and playful despite the weather. Read all the info about otters and their sad plight. Surprising how humans try so hard to distance themselves from animals but in the end fail to escape nature.

the start of the fun only came after wading to the pygmy hippo underwater viewing gallery. I saw many cool fishes like pacu, catfish and gars. I saw a large snapper turtle too!!!!! So cool!!

Anway, i then went to look at the Australian exhibits like the taipan, carpet python, etc... Kangaroos are so boring.... Emus are nice though.

The white tiger was cool! So big and powerful!

In conclusion, the trip to the zoo was fun though i wish it wasnt raining and under renovations.

Resignations

This week one of my fellow CPF staff left the board and two more are leaving within the month. The irony of the situation i that their emplyment was an experiment with freshies. That means those who are like me, fresh jobseekers not those late 20s or 30's. I dun blame them because we are young so studies are more important and trying out jobs is important to find what suits you.

Suitablity for a job is very important. Like I cant sell products for nuts. I feel that if you dun feel suited for the job because of the boss, colleagues or work then it might be a good idea to consider your options. A setback or teething problems is not a good reason to quit.

WORLD CUP

The WC has finally kicked off!!!! The first game was a positive step for football with 6 goals scored!!!!! Unfortunately, the remaining matches since then thee matches have been terrible. Poland lost 2-0 to Ecuador, England only barely beat Paraguay and T&T held Sweden to a goaless draw. World football has deproved or the playing field has been leveled. I think the former. Watching England play Paraguay, I realised that if England play like they did against Germany, they will be beaten. So far only Argentina and Germany have played well though both conceded goals. I would prefer high scoring games to 1-0 games unless it is really high attacking games which england didnt play.
