CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PART1

Mood: Normal
Music: Yi Qian Nian Yi Hou By Lin Jun Jie

This mornings matches were at best predictable at worst boring. Barcelona drew, Juve won and Villareal drew. The good thing was that Juve won thanks to Emerson and Trezeguet. Micoud must have scared Capello a bit.

Anyway, I found he Barce-Chelsea match was not as entertaining as the first leg. Ronaldinho did well to score against Cech but Barce didnt look like they could be bothered to play properly. They didnt have the fire to win. They were interested only in not losing. They came and haunt them at the last minute when Lampard scored a penalty. Such behaviour is unsporting and stopps to Mourinho's level. People dun watch soccer to see who wins, the want to see chance after chance after chance. Fine, Ronaldinho was very entertaining but rest of the team was interested in preventing a goal and not creating one.

Juventus did well to beat Weirder Bremon. They were losing for the first half and losing on aggregate for more than 90 minutes of play time. Kudos to Emerson and the rest of the players for not giving up and sending the "Old Lady' to the last 8.

The last match was terpid not so much because it ended 1-1 but because neither team really tried to score. Rangers took the lead but Villareal scored one back.

3 of the 8 teams i predicted to go through have gone through! Well, now for the next 5.

Cheers!
