This week in soccer showed that the ball is truly round and crap teams will lose. Juve, Chelsea and Liverpool have qualified for the next stage in the Champions League. All won convincingly and not scrappily digging a win out.

With Man U and Real Madrid out, the possible winners now are: Chelsea, Juventus and Milan. Of course, Liverpool might juz win it due to sheer luck and skill. Luis Garcia has breathed some life into Liverpool's hopes for the future. Now, only Liverpool has a real reason to fight hard in Europe. Chelsea has its domestic title and League Cup in wraps, Juve and Milan will be fighting for 1st in the Serie A. The rest are smaller fish but not to be discounted. Another repat of last year's minnow battle in the Finals will be very disappointing. PSV vs Lyon will be a serious anti-climax to this year's Champions League Final not so much because both teams are not good but because both teams dun have ultra-famous stars like Neved, Robben, Drogba or Gerrad. Liverpool should win the Champions League juz to spite Mourinho and and wake the whole Chelsea team from its slumber and complacency.

As a Chelsea fan, it is heart-breaking to see Chelsea fail to keep clean sheets in Europe, drop points to Man City. Perhaps Mourinho needs to go shopping again but I hope he does not buy for the sake of buying or do a 'Real Madrid' and buy some aging star. Gerrad would be useful to Chelsea but a winger would be better. Buying Sneijder would be good.

Well, I am juz an armchair critc but I strongly believe that Chelsea must really buck up if they seriously wish to get a treble.
