This mighte be a tad weird coming from me but this blog is about law and morals.
Okay, the law has many faces and many ways of interpretation..... The most basic is what we call morality or moral values. Stealing, killing and cheating are all wrong. Then comes the gray area for stealing and cheating, when are you really doing something bad and when are you not. An example is a poor man is constantly harassed by gangsters, the police wont or cant do anything so is he justified to take the law into his own hands? The law says no but the rules of the street say yes. If you were in the poor man's shoes what would you do? The law protects those who know it and those who can abuse it. The innocent are sent to prison because they dun understand the law or are unlucky. The triad lords and Mafia godfathers can do as they please and die like kings.
Question: Where is God in this? Where is the justice?
Answer: God doesnt allow you to be hurt! It is the inaction of good men that allows evil to hurt the innocent with impunity. Justice is payback against those who hurt those you care about.
After watching Boondock Saints in Australia, I realised that God helps those who help themselves. For those who have yet to watch the movie, its about 2 bros who take the law into their own hands and kill the mob in bizarre fashion.
I am not of course asking people to take the law into their own hands, especially since the law in Singapore is good and generally fair. No system is perfect but at least Singapore is quite safe.
Well thats enough for tonight.
Nights!

Life Without Music
Mood: Happy
Music: Mu Na Yi by JJ, Dragostea din tei by Ozone, Like Toy Soldiers by Martika (also by Eminem)
25 days in Australia without a music player or radio is really life without music. Songs playing in your head but you cant really enjoy them because they are memories so some parts are screwed. Dragostea din tei, Mu Na Yi, Like Toy Soldiers, Rasputin and other clown songs playing in your head. The occassional song played on the PA system was about as good as life could get. It reminded me of how important music is to me. Music calms the savage beast and the savage beast many of us troops were myself included. The weather, the distance from home, the lack of facilities and the long lines for the phones made us quite edgy. Now sitting at home blogging, i hear my fav songs but also feel the happiness missing in my life the whole time in Australia. Its not that i was unhappy when i was there but part of my happiness can only be felt when around family, friends and on Singaporean soil.
For those who dunno, I went to Australia to train to be a better soldier and not for holiday so you can see why i am so unhappy. Being dragged away from home to train is already very sian, imagine getting stuck on the first level of hell 2 hours bus ride from some semblance of civilisation with no proper sleeping facilities and no entertainment. Boring, sickening and stupid.
Well thats all i plan to blog about.
