Juz have enough time to blog a bit.
The week's been slack. Sitting around the vehicle shed and Simulation centre practicing my voice procedure. For the first time in 3 months i actually slept 8 hours in camp! I guess i need to reduce my sleep debt. The coming week is gonna be a killer! 4 days out in the field, practising how to fight on the vehicle. Tiring and dirty!
Friday was fun! Played in the simulator then went to marina bay for dinner. The bus got us lost and we ended up in suntec city!!!!!! Thank the lord, we got there in time to have our happy hour cum dinner! The food was good, the more adventurous ones went to order and drink beer. Watching our instructors, we realised they are quite human after all. Quite.....
Saturday..... A wasted day! Spent the whole morning cleaning my vehicle and waiting for things to happen. Booked out and then came home.

This week was nuts at the start. Whole day of playing around in the the Rakit Reservoir. The sergeants were shouting at us for some obscure reason which they feel us trainees will never understand. Maybe when i become a sergeant i will understand.
Tuesday was servicing and maintence. Mostly sleeping on the floor a catching up on our sleep lost due to monday's mishaps. The field pack inspection was looking bad, till our platoon sergeant took our platoon away from the main body and boosted our morale! The result of the insepction was 7 bags of very wet personal items. In total, all my uniforms were sent back for washing. 5 sets of uniform! The week used up all my uniforms and then some! Wednesday was the hell day, with our sergeants screaming profanities at us due to again some inexplicable reason. Even our favourite sergeants were joining in the 'reverie'! Everyone was super unhappy! At least we had a good nights rest. Thursday threaten to follow wednesday but did not. In fact, our officers made amends for the terrible week by giving us the night off! The only downer was that our section instructor was down with fever so my section had to train without him. Okay, we slept a bit more than we trained! So what?
Friday. The day which I not only passed my SOC and got one more night off reward but also broke the nine minute barrier! 8 min 34 sec was a real shocker for me. My happiness was a little dampened by the fact that my section's two fastest guys were sub-8. The consolation is that they are the two fastest in the course. Oh well, you cant beat everyone. Shrek of course bulldozed his way through the course. The rest of the day was lecture, cleaning arms and cursing at the armskote men. The last one was due to the poor fools' insistence that we clean already clean arms.
Saturday started fun! 8 km run, then games and bonding! Once again the armskote men spoiled the day by declaring 80 magazines lost! Our lockers and bags were searched. Nothing. We cleaned our area and were ready to leave when the order came that we cant book out. Reason? The mags were not found. My mum was forced to wait for 1 hour for them to say you can go but we still have to found a single mag. The silver lining was that i managed to get closer to the end of Deception point. The book is thrilling but very draggy.
The map that i made is good but there is still lots of room for improvement!
Lunch in 1 hours time better get exercising!
